What If Your Accelerator Pedal Stuck?

The question on everyone's mind lately is, "What would I do if my accelerator stuck?"

The likelyhood of that happening is very slim. However, have you thought out what you would do in the event that did happen?

Panic?
Scream?
Hold on for dear life?

HERE IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:
  • Keep calm.
  • Press fimly on the brake
  • Grip the Steering wheel firmly in one hand.
  • Shift the gear selector into neutral with the other hand.
  • Turn off the ignition.
  • Pull over to the side as far as possible, preferrably a safe place.
  • Turn on your hazard lights.
  • Tow the vehicle to your local dealer or garage.
The main thing here is not to panic.  If you have a game plan, and a level head, you can avoid a pontentially dangerous situation.

Thompson School District - Family Sponsorship

Each year, Markley Motors is committed to sponsoring worthwhile causes and participating in various community events, in Fort Collins and throughout Northern Colorado. We connected with one such sponsorship, in December. Markley Motors sponsored a family in need, through the Thompson School District. It was great to get this letter back from the facilitator of the sponsorship, and to hear that they had a great Christmas season.

Dear Markley Motors Staff:

I wanted to take a moment to offer my heart-felt thanks for supporting one of our families in need.

The sponsorship of this family for the holiday season was a significant blessing to them. They were genuinely overwhelmed by your generosity, as they were able to provide Christmas to their children at a level they did not expect. Thank You.

I look forward to your future partnerships.

Sincerely,

Georgianna Dawson

Even though Christmas is over, there is much need out there. Look around and see what you can do for someone. Even if it is donating a little bit of your time, every little bit can make a difference.

THIS YEAR, COMMIT YOURSELF TO HELPING SOMEONE IN NEED.

Jen Loves to Run as Much as Her Saturn!

JENNIFER O'NEIL SAJBEL

A SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE!

Jen has driven her 1996 Saturn as much as many of us drive two, three, or even four vehicles.  It has taken her near and far, and has hit a significant milestone recently--It just turned over 200,000 miles.  She is so proud of the vehicle that has run so well and needed little maintenance over the years.

My 1996 Saturn and I reached a significant milestone today....and all of those miles together. I went home and got my camera just in time, I've been waiting for this!
--Jen

WAY TO GO JEN!

Tell us some GOOD stories about:
  • Your first vehicle.
  • A vehicle that has run for a long time.
  • A fun trip you took in your vehicle.
  • Something FUNNY about your vehicle.
  • A vehicle that has seen you through tough times.
  • A vehicle that is special in some way.
  • An embarassing moment in your vehicle.
  • A surprising moment in your vehicle.
